We are thrilled to share an exciting update about one of our former residents, Sothon. Once a bright and enthusiastic member of Little Hearts, Sothon embarked on his path to independence after graduating from university in 2023. Before he left, Sothon had also worked full-time at Little Hearts, where he took on key responsibilities, such as managing the vegetable garden and caring for his younger brothers. His dedication and nurturing spirit made a lasting impact on the organization. With a heart full of dreams and determination, he stepped into the world to pursue his career. His growth over the years has been inspiring, and today we celebrate his latest milestone – fatherhood.
On 13 March, Sothon and his wife Nich welcomed a healthy baby boy into the world. They named him Seav Fong. Please join us in wishing them all the joy and fulfilment that parenthood brings! Becoming parents is a life-changing experience, and Sothon and his wife are ready to embrace this new chapter with open hearts and unwavering strength. Their journey in parenthood will be filled with wonderful memories, challenges, and triumphs, and we have no doubt that they will thrive as a family, supporting each other every step of the way.
Last Friday, we were able to reconnect with Sothon when he visited us at Little Hearts. It was heart-warming to see him again, and we plied him with some special gifts for his baby. With excitement in his eyes, he received a variety of items that will surely come in handy — clothes, toys and baby necessities like diapers and rash ointment! It was a full-circle moment for us as we reflected on the time Sothon spent with us, growing into the kind, confident individual he is today.
When Sothon was here we also invited another long-time former resident, Koem Heng, along with her daughter Amelie, who is now two years old. They, too, received a few gifts. (A big thank you to our donors for sponsoring these items.)
As our former wards transition into adulthood and become parents themselves, we wish for their lives to be filled with laughter, love, and the precious family moments.
