Last Sunday we had the pleasure of welcoming four special visitors from Belgium who are long-time supporters of Little Hearts: Axel, Celine, Henri and Julie. Their contributions over the years have been invaluable and deeply appreciated.
It’s not often that we entertain visitors from so far away, so we turned their visit into an opportunity to show our thanks and have some fun by organizing an exciting day of activities for both visitors and kids. In the morning, we kicked things off with games like a relay race, three-legged race, egg relay, hitting the clay pot, crawling challenges, and even a bicycle relay. It was a fun, energetic start to the day!
In the afternoon, Helen, the owner of Khraft Cambodia, led a creative session with the kids. Using Air Dry Clay, the children worked in four teams, each creating objects based on different themes: Forest Craft, Food Craft, Marine Craft and Outer Space Craft. A big thank you to Helen for her time and help with organizing this wonderful activity.
It was a fantastic day, full of laughter and creativity. We are incredibly grateful to Axel, Celine, Henri and Julie for taking the time to visit and engage with us, and for their long-standing support of Little Hearts. Celine, for example, previously worked at Little Hearts as a volunteer and continues to participate actively in Team Belgium’s fundraising activities. Axel Daeseleire is a well-known actor and TV celebrity in Belgium who has supported us for many years.
Their help over so many years demonstrates that once you’ve become part of our extended family, you’ll never want to leave. So, if there are other folks out there with golden hearts who are looking for an opportunity to support a very worthwhile cause like ours, please do get in touch by contacting Tony at tony@lho.ngo!
