Hands-on kids need hands-on careers and we can prove it. This is because one of our senior boys Sambo has been accepted to the JVC technical college to study mechanics and vehicle maintenance. The college caters for under-privileged youth from all over Cambodia, training them for technical careers.
Sambo has always been a hands-on student. He likes being outside, getting busy with technical projects and most of all fixing things. Now that he’s going to the JVC technical school, he’ll be able to take his passion to the next level.
His journey starts with learning everything you need to know about fixing car engines, electrical wiring, and air conditioning systems for vehicles.
The course lasts three years leading to a diploma in mechanics. After that students advance as interns in company workshops, with the option of studying towards a full BA in mechanics as they work.
We’re delighted with Sambo’s choice, and wish him well, as he develops his career in mechanics.
