In May, Little Hearts kids were grateful to accept a set of refurbished laptops donated by the Chip Mong Group, a well-known Cambodian conglomerate with diversified businesses in consumer goods, construction materials, real estate, beverages, cement, hotel and hospitality, animal feed, retail, and banking. After generously providing several laptops to Little Hearts in August of last year, Chip Mong has renewed its support by donating additional computers for the kids. They have also become a formal sponsor through regular financial donations.
Earlier this month, Ben, Michael, and Tony visited the Chip Mong head offices to receive the laptops on behalf of all the Little Hearts children and to present the company with an artwork created by one of our young artists as a token of appreciation. They met with the group’s Chief Information Officer, Francois du Toit, who was pleased and impressed with the gift, and whose visit to Little Hearts is eagerly awaited.
The new laptops will go a long way to addressing our learning needs – in the aftermath of Covid, our university kids especially are still doing much of their studying online. Access to the internet also means that the kids can engage in the wider world and learn new technologies. The laptops will also be used in our Friday English lessons attended by the children of the community.
It is a privilege to partner with a corporation that is highly respected in the region and committed to the welfare of young Cambodians. We are proud to welcome the Chip Mong Group to the Little Hearts family.
