Intercare Medical Center Joins the Little Hearts Family

Yesterday, several Little Hearts children (accompanied by Roxanne, our Child Welfare Specialist extraordinaire) made the short journey across the river and into central Phnom Penh to pay a visit to our newest partner, Intercare Medical Center. They met with administrators, nurses and Dr Haiko Van Der Marel, a longtime supporter of Little Hearts, and presented them with a Certificate of Appreciation and a painting crafted by one of our very own budding artists.

Since December 1, 2021, Intercare has been providing free medical consultations to all Little Hearts children, as well as medications at cost. Now Tony and the staff can rest assured that whenever Little Hearts kids fall ill, they will have access to the very best medical care in Phnom Penh.

Founded in 2020, Intercare provides outpatient GP services, emergency care and specialist consultations in a new facility that also features a vaccination center and private rooms for patients who need short-term inpatient care. Located in the Olympia Medical Hub, Intercare also enjoys ready access to a state-of-the-art imaging center, a pathology lab and, in the near future, a surgery center.

We are extremely grateful to receive Intercare’s support and look forward to a long and healthy relationship with our latest sponsor. A special thank you to Carolyne Pung and Jason Harrison for making this partnership possible.
