Our second Feeding Program took place on July 5th, and it was another wonderful day filled with nutritious food, learning, laughter, and meaningful connections.
Although the program followed the same overall format as our previous feeding event, this time we enjoyed a different meal, new interactive activities, and, most importantly, the generous support of individuals and organizations who helped make the day possible.
A heartfelt thank you to the Maybank Sustainability & CR Team and the Marketing & Branding Team for partnering with Little Hearts.
Thank you for your generous donation of USD 100 and drinking bottles for the children participating in our Feeding Program, as well as for the children at Little Hearts. Your thoughtful gifts brought so many smiles and will be used by the children every day.
We also appreciated your presence and enthusiasm throughout the program. Rather than simply observing, your team actively participated in our interactive learning activity by becoming the facilitators. The children took on the role of customers while the Maybank team became shopkeepers in a fun role-playing marketplace. Using Cambodian currency, pictures of different products, and simple instructions, the children practiced buying and selling while learning to follow directions, recognize items, count money, and communicate with confidence. It was wonderful to see how engaged everyone was, and the smiles and laughter made the activity even more memorable.
Our sincere thanks go to Ms. Rov Camato, her partner Nikhil Myana, and their wonderful friends for joining us and generously sponsoring the food and drinks for the children. They brought so much happiness to the program, treating everyone to a perfect balance of the kids’ favorite snacks, including delicious donuts and chocolate drinks, alongside a wholesome, healthy lunch meal. Your generosity, time, and encouragement truly helped create a joyful, memorable, and meaningful day for everyone!
The kids loved the food! Some of them even mentioned it was their first time eating donuts, and they were so happy to have them as part of their snacks. They also thoroughly enjoyed the healthy lunch, accompanied by refreshing coconut drinks.
One of the highlights of the day was the English activity led by Ms. Rov and her friends. Since many of the children are also part of our Community English Program, this was a wonderful opportunity for them to practice what they’ve been learning. Each child introduced themselves in English and shared a drawing of what they hope to become in the future. Although their introductions were simple, it was inspiring to see the progress they’ve made in speaking English and the confidence they showed while presenting in front of others.
One of the most heartwarming moments was hearing the children’s dreams. Some said they want to become police officers, while others hope to become teachers and pursue other meaningful careers. It is encouraging to see that, even at such a young age, they are already beginning to imagine the future they want for themselves.
Will every child achieve the dream they shared? Only time will tell. But one thing we do know is that, with the love, encouragement, education, and support of people like you, we can continue to guide them, help them build confidence, and give them every opportunity to work toward those dreams. Every act of kindness, every meal shared, every lesson taught, and every moment spent with our children helps shape a brighter future.
To all of our supporters, volunteers, and sponsors, thank you for believing in the mission of Little Hearts. Your generosity goes far beyond providing meals; it gives our children opportunities to learn, grow, dream, and believe in themselves.
From all of us at Little Hearts, and from every child whose life you have touched, thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us build brighter futures, one child at a time.
