On February 14th three of our kids – Sammy, Jules, and Naomi – officially celebrated their Grade 6 graduation at Sovannaphumi School, Daun Penh Branch. (These kids are already midway through Grade 7, actually, but it is not uncommon in Cambodia for the graduation ceremony to be delayed by several months.)
The program began at 8:00 AM and finished close to lunchtime. It featured speeches, the formal summoning of graduates to the stage to receive their diplomas, and several performances in between, including traditional dance presentations.
A special highlight for us was Naomi receiving a certificate of excellence as one of the best students in her class. We are extremely proud of her hard work and dedication.
The children were accompanied by Tony, who was delighted to witness this important milestone in their journey.
