Grade 9 Complete – High School Ahead

Another school year has come to a close, and a new one begins.

On August 28–29, five of our Grade 12 students completed their national baccalaureate exams, thus bringing their school careers to an end. They now anxiously await their results, which will be released next month, in hopes of being able to attend university soon thereafter. But we are already certain that they all passed with flying colours, so it’s not too early to congratulate them! Well done, Ben, Dalin, Micky, Malee and Daleine! Your perseverance and diligence has paid off, and now you can look forward to a university education and bright futures.

If all five new graduates attend university in the upcoming academic year (they are still weighing their options and researching what subjects they might enrol in), then we will soon have a total of eight university students in residence, including those who are already enrolled in degree programs. That’s a record!

While our graduates await their results, everyone else went back to school, as September 2nd marked the resumption of classes after a one-month break in August. But not before more celebrations were held – on September 1st, seven students (Vandeth, Lisa, Dina, Jeff, Dara, Bunrath and Charlie) graduated from middle school at a ceremony held in the function hall of the Institute of Technology of Cambodia. Well done, kids! You are now in high school – surely the best years of you lives!
