A Visit Full of Kindness, Care and Connection

On 14 August, we were honoured to welcome back our friends from Taiwan’s Taoyuan Hospital. Last year, Taoyuan Hospital touched our hearts with their medical outreach, while also donating essential supplies and much-needed medications. Their compassion left a lasting impact and we’re grateful that they returned to continue what they started.

This year, they stopped by to check on the kids’ health once again, and they brought along a new partner in kindness, Union Commercial Bank (UCB), the Cambodian subsidiary of Taiwan’s E.SUN Bank. In addition to assisting during the medical check-ups (they played board games with the kids who were waiting for their turn), UCB staff generously brought sacks of rice, toiletries, school supplies and other essentials for the children.

We believe that when we are blessed, we should share those blessings with others, and that’s exactly what we did: we passed on some of the donations to the 80 children enrolled in our free community English classes, making sure that each one received a few useful school supplies and some hygiene supplies. And to recognize and encourage dedication, we gifted school bags to the top 20 students – those who’ve shown the most progress and commitment. It was our small way of saying, “We see you. Keep going.”

To Taoyuan Hospital and UCB, thank you. Your kindness doesn’t just fill bags and baskets, it also fills hearts. You’ve made a difference, and we’re so glad to walk this path with you. Together, we’re building more than healthier communities – we’re shaping a future filled with hope, compassion and care.
